Market - Humbug weather keeps market strong
A weak Monday spot and wet and mild weather brought the morning market down in the front. The forwards remain strong, however, and despite a weak open the contracts lifted back above the Friday close. Players today agreed that the market continues to show great strength, and pointed to the possibility of a return to high-pressure weather and the weak hydro balance as the reasons for this.
The weak Friday market gave promises of more downside today, and a continued fall was staged with the weak system price for
Monday. The forward curve seems relentless in its bullishness, however, and primarily mild weather keeps the futures below
